Mrs. Clara Sommer, 82, of 1732 N. 10th St., widow of Richard, was found dead at her home Tuesday of an apparent heart attack.
She was born in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, on July 29, 1891, a daughter of the late Frank and Wilhelmina Berth.
On Oct. 12, 1918, she married Mr. Sommer. They farmed for many years in the Town of Mosel and came to Sheboygan in 1956, Mr. Sommer died in 1961.
Mrs. Sommer was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Friendship Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert, Sheboygan, and Marvin, Mosel; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Adeline) Cline, Adell, and Mrs. Edwin (Gertrude) Hickman, Sheboygan; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Berth, Howards Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. John Ney, Sheboygan, and Mrs. August Illig, Louis Corners.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Nickel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Jaberg, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Sommer's name for St. John Church.
