Gertrude (Sommer) Hickman
Edwin Hickman, 75, and Gertrude (Sommer) Hickman, 74, former Sheboygan residences, now residing in Arizona City, Ariz., died Thursday, April 18, 1996, Phoenix, as a result of an auto accident.
Edwin was the son of the late Philip and Mary Hickman of School Hill, Wis.
He is survived by one brother, Arno, School Hill; one sister, Mabel (Henry) Plagemann, Chilton.
Gertrude was the daughter of the late Richard and Clara Sommer, Town of Mosel.
She is survived by two brothers, Herbert (Olive) Sommer and Marvin (Bernice) Sommer; one brother-in-law, Russ Cline. Gertrude was preceded in death by a sister, Adeline Cline.
Mr. & Mrs. Hickman are survived by one daughter, Susan (Jonathon) Blackler, Scottsdale, Ariz. Gertrude and Edwin are also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. They were preceded in death by an infant son.
While in Sheboygan, Edwin and Gertrude operated a local meat market.
A memorial service was held at Toltec Evangelical Methodist Church in Elroy, Ariz., where they were members.
Interment will be in the Veterans Cemetery, Phoenix, Ariz.
