Oscar Wilke, 75, Of Hika, Called To Rest Friday

Cleveland -- Oscar Wilke, 75, of Hika, passed away Friday at the Memorial hospital, Sheboygan, following a short illness.

Born April 8, 1870, in Town Mosel, the son of Christ and Augusta Wilke, he was married to Frieda Bull on July 2, 1897, and they operated a farm one mile north of Hika until 1939 when they, moved to the village. His wife died Oct. 26, 1944, and three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Hilbert (Ella) Zill of Newton and Mrs. Herman (Hertha) Gumm of Sheboygan; three sons, John and Theodore of Sheboygan, and Richard of Hika; a sister, Mrs. Louisa Rautmann of School Hill; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stoltenburg Funeral Home chapel at Cleveland and at 2 o'clock at St. John's and St Peter Lutheran Church, the Rev. M.A. Braun, officiating. Burial will be made in St. John's cemetery at Hika.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from Sunday morning until the time of the services, and the casket will not be opened at the church.
