Edna A. Boeldt, 76, a former Town of Schleswig resident and a resident of the Calumet Homestead, New Holstein, for the past two years died Thursday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient for a day.
The former Edna Bratz was born Jan. 25, 1907, in the Town of Eaton, a daughter of Otto and Bertha Reichardt Bratz. She attended district school. On July 8, 1925, she married Helmuth Boeldt at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig. The couple farmed in the Town of Schleswig until retirement in 1962. She was a member of Bethlehem UCC and of its Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include her husband, of New Holstein; six daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Mabel) Liermann, Mrs. Markus (Lorraine) Nagel, both of Valders, Mrs. Otto (Marion) Hartwig of Plymouth, Mrs. Dennis (Bernice) Hasenstein of Sheboygan; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Groch of Oshkosh; and Mrs. Garret (Jane) Hanke of Elkhart Lake; two sons, Norman Boeldt of Howards Grove, and Vernon Boeldt of New Holstein; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Erna Kujawski of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
