Louis A. LaViolette, 71, Rt 5, Sturgeon Bay, died Monday evening as the result of a farm accident. He was born Sept. 26, 1904 in Gardner to the late Edward and Felicity LaViolette. Mr. LaViolette, a lifelong resident of Door County, was a member of the Cool City Square Dancing Club. He farmed and was employed by U.S. Plywood until retirement in 1969. On Sept. 29, 1927, he married the former Artyice Starr.

Survivors include 12 children, Mrs. Philip (Phyllis) Nelson, Forestville; Mrs. Lawrence (Mildred) Monfils, Brussels; Mrs. Wayne (Vivian) Jonhson, Cleveland, Wis,; Kenneth, Manitowoc; Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Meunier, Cleveland, Wis.; Mrs. Tom (Donna) Nicholson, Surgeon Bay; Mrs. Ray (Shirley) Chase, Two Rivers; Mrs. Daryle (Dorris) Wolske, Algoma; Mrs. Willard (Fay) Kolstad, Forestville; Keith, Roy, and Louie all of Sturgeon Bay; 43 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George (Cecelia) Brunberg, Milwaukee; one brother Ned, West Allis.

Friends may call at Davis Mortuary, Sturgeon Bay, after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Devotions 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay, with Revs. Theophil Baganz and Darold Gruen officiating. Burial in Bayside Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay.
