Mrs. Louis (Artyice E.) LaViolette, 80, 1296 County S, Sturgeon Bay, died Aug. 24 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. Services were held Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Algoma, with internment at Bayside Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay. The Davis mortuary handled arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

The daughter of Charles and Anne Starr, she was born in the Town of Forestville on May 6, 1910 and lived all her life in Door County.

Sept 29, 1927 she was married to Louis LaViolette and he died May 10, 1976. Mrs. LaViolette was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, Algoma Golden Age Club and the East Maplewood Homemakers. She and her husband operated a farm prior to retirement.

Among survivors are her children Mrs. Philip (Phyllis) Nelson, Forestville, Mrs. Lawrence (Mildred) Monfils, Brussels, Mrs. Wayne (Vivian) Johnson, Cleveland, Kenneth, Manitowoc, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Meunier, Kellnersville, Mrs. Tom (Donna) Nicholson, Sturgeon Bay, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Grapentine, Manitowoc, Mrs. Daryle (Doris) Wolske, Algoma, Mrs. Willard (Fay) Kolstad, Forestville, Keith, Casco, Roy, Sturgeon Bay, and Louis, Brussels. Also surviving are 44 grandchild, 56 great-grandchild and sisters and brothers Myrtle Sach, Forestville, Victor Starr and Mrs. Eric (Verna) Schmidt, both of Algoma, and Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Sperber Sr., and Lester Starr, both of Sturgeon Bay.

Her husband, parents, two brothers and a grandchild preceded her in death.
