Mrs. M. Wilke Called To Rest After Illness

Mrs. Martha Wilke passed away this morning at 9:20 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Deicher, town of Sherman. She had been ill since November.

On March 16, 1881, she was born in the town of Herman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gosse. She was married to August Wilke on Dec. 26, 1901, in the town of Herman, where the couple lived until 1908, when they moved to the town of Lyndon. Since 1939 the town of Sherman was their home.

Survivors are two sons, Norbert Wilke, Plymouth, and Edwin Wilke, town of Plymouth; one daughter, Mrs. Ervin (Anita) Deicher town of Sherman, and four grandchildren. Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Louis Franz, town of Mosel; Mrs. Herman Franzmeier, town Mosel; Mrs. Simon Boedeker, Greenwood, Wis.; Mrs. Charles Richter, town of Rhine; and a brother, Fredinand Gosse, town of Sheboygan Falls.

Mr. Wilke preceded his wife in death on May 26, 1941, and a daughter, Dorothea, on Nov. 23, 1939. Three brothers and three sisters are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon at the Wittkopp Funeral home in Plymouth. The Rev. Herman Schmid of the Plymouth Reformed church will officiate, and burial will be in the Woodland cemetery.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 2:30 o'clock on Monday until the time of services.
