Edwin H. Wilke

Edwin H. Wilke, 72, of Town of Plymouth, died early today at Sunny Ridge where he had resided the past 10 months.

He was born on Feb. 27, 1904 in the Town of Mosel, a son of August and Martha Gosse Wilke.

On Dec. 14, 1929, he married Laura Heincke in Plymouth. The couple lived in the Town of Plymouth after marriage. His wife died on Dec. 21, 1965.

He was employed by the Sheboygan County Highway Department from 1948 until retirement in 1969.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Marilyn) Payne of the Town of Lyndon; two grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Anita Deicher of rural Adell.

A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Robert Wudy, senior pastor of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
