WARD, Betty Lou 84, of Springfield, passed away November 24, 2011. She was born February 26, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of John W. and Famine Elizabeth (Davis) Ballinger Sr. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Eagles, the Machinist Club and the Union Club. Survivors include two daughters; Judith Malone, Springfield and Sharman ( Rolland) Foor, Toledo, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, sisters; Martha Waugh, Texas and Ethel Howard, Springfield, brothers; Joe (Tina) Ballinger, Utah, Dick (Erica) Ballinger, Urbana and Herbert (Lucy) Ballinger South Charleston and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Russell, sisters; Mary and Katherine, brothers; Virgil, John, Charles, Robert and Roger and her parents. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor James Simpson officiating. Burial will will be in the Myers Cemetery.
