HOWARD, Ethel Elizabeth 98, of Springfield passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013 in Villa Springfield. She was born June 8, 1914 in North Hampton, Ohio, the daughter of John William and Fannie Elizabeth (Davis) Ballenger. Mrs Howard was a member of the High Street Church of the Nazarene, and she enjoyed crocheting and reading. Survivors include two children; Marvin Morgan of Phoenix, Arizona and Debra Parker of Columbus, Ohio, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers and sister; Joe (Tina) Ballenger of Salt Lake City, Utah, Richard (Erika) Ballenger of Springfield, Herbert (Lucy) Ballenger of South Charleston, and Martha Waugh of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Marion Howard, two daughters; Carolyn Morgan and Shirley Morgan, three sisters, five brothers, and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kevin Mays officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery.
