Willis E. Voss, age 86, of rural Newton, died Sunday afternoon, November 20, 2011 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born September 10, 1925 in Manitowoc Co., son of the late William & Olga (Rautmann) Voss. He attended Mineral Springs school.

On June 29, 1946 he married Delores Jaehnig at St. John & St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. His wife Delores preceded him in death on May 23, 2009.

Willis farmed in the town of Newton for many years. He also worked at Kohler Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of St. John & St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Willis enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed bartending at Kraemers Corners in Edwards.

Survivors include three children: Thomas (Karen) Voss, School Hill, Peggy (James) Stoiber, Plymouth, Robert (Judy) Voss, Valders, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is further survived by one brother, Orville Voss, Kiel, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Willis will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. John & St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1251 W. Washington Ave., Cleveland with Rev. David Endorf officiating. Burial will take place in Saxon Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
