Delores O. Kress, age 86, village of Cleveland resident, went home to her Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Sheboygan.
She was born February 24, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Olga Rautmann Voss.
On October 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to Vernon J Kress in Sheboygan.
Upon her husband's separation from service in the U.S. Army Air Force, the couple resided in Cleveland. The marriage was blessed with three children. Her husband passed away December 6, 2003.
She was employed at Northland Plastics of Sheboygan until her retirement in 1986.
She loved to work on jigsaw puzzles, do canning, tend her flower garden and go to Pelican Lake, WI with family and friends. Delores was a member of St. John and St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland.
Delores is survived by her son, Vernon "Butch" Jr. of Cleveland, her daughter, Nancy (Mark) Gensch of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Willis Voss of Newton and Orville Voss of Kiel.
Preceding her in death are her husband; one son, John; two brothers, Roger and Kenneth Voss; and three sister, Agnes Oehldrich, Alice Baumann and Gladys Schleunes.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at St. John and St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate and burial will follow at St. Johannes Cemetery in Cleveland. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, February 12 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Delores Kress for St. John and St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.
