Edward L. Burish, 82, Wausau, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.He was born July 14, 1933, in Francis Creek, Wisconsin one of 17 children of the late Edward and Leora (Jost) Burish. He married Mary Jane Blaskowski on October 20, 1956 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives him.Ed was proud to be a salesman for Pyke Manufacturing Company out of Salt Lake City, Utah for 43 years. He was always one of their top salesman and he loved traveling within his territory which covered all of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. He was a loyal member of the Church of St. Anne for over 40 years. During his retirement years, he coordinated and supervised a group of volunteers to maintain the church grounds. Ed was a very charitable man. For many years he was one of the primary donors for St. Anne's athletic programs. He was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith. He loved to golf, fish and play cards with friends and family, especially poker. He loved to travel with his wife thorough out the world. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Jane Burish, Wausau; children, Andrew (Anna), Middleton, Patrick (Lynn), Wausau and Joseph (Beth); South Elgin, Illinois; grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy and Aaron Burish, all of Wausau and Raquel Burish, New York City; brothers, James (Lillian), Elton (Joyce), John (Susie), Thomas (Kathy), Norbert (Barbara) and Michael Burish; sister-in-law, Shirley Burish; sisters, Janet Skrzychak and Shirley Reid.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark, three sisters, infant Margaret, Beatrice and Sister Beatrice; and five brothers, Rueben, Eugene, Marlen, Anthony and Kenneth.The memorial Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Matthew Marshall will preside. Private burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Church of St. Anne.
