Beatrice C. Wadzinski, 85, formerly of the town of Cassel, died Friday, September 11, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Colonial Manor, Wausau.

She was born October 23, 1923 in Francis Creek, daughter of the late Edward and Leora (Jost) Burish. On October 18, 1944 she married Allen Kraft at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death April 12, 1956. Beatrice married David Wadzinski on July 12, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He preceded her in death August 2, 1989.

Beatrice was a homemaker that took pleasure in the simple things in life, spending time with family and friends, visiting and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her family, Jean Schuster, Marathon, Susan (Dennis) Minsaas, Sussex, Ret. Col. Allen Kraft, Sarasota, Fla., Kathleen Wadzinski, Marathon, and Steven (Sara) Wadzinski, Cassel. Grandchildren, Ann Marie (Earl) Mroczinski, Allen Mark Schuster, Rick Minsaas, Scott Minsaas, Kenneth Wadzinski, Julie Wadzinski and Jonathon Wadzinski. Five great-grandchildren, Nicholas & Brandon Schuster and Kaylea & Tia Normand, Eric Mroczinski. Two sisters, Janet (Clarence) Skrzypchak, Niles, IL and Shirley Reid, Hot Springs Village, AR. 10 brothers, Reuben Burish, Two Rivers, Marlen (Dawn Mae) Burish, Marathon, Elton (Joyce)Burish, Marathon, Jim (Lillian)Burish, Marathon, Ed (Mary Jane) Burish, Wausau, John (Susie) Burish, Marathon, Kenneth (LouAnn) Burish, Marathon, Norbert (Barbara) Burish, Wausau, Thomas (Kathy) Burish, Irma and Michael Burish, Milwaukee.

Besides her parents and husbands, Beatrice was preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Beatrice and an infant Margaret, and two brothers, Eugene and Tony Burish.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
