Cecelia M. Mayer, 103, went home to be with her Lord on May 16, 2015. She was born April 4, 1912 daughter of the late Frank & Barbara (Wolf) Wagner. On September 4, 1937 she was united in marriage to Fred Mayer at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland. They made their home in Cleveland.

Cecelia and Fred enjoyed dancing together and belonged to a Sunday Dance Club. They also enjoyed traveling and along with friends attended a live performance of the Lawrence Welk Show in California. Cecelia and Fred celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and enjoyed many wonderful years together. Fred preceded her in death in December, 1990.

Survivors include her children; Joan (John) Turba, New Holstein, Mary (Dick) Vande Hei, Depere, Thomas Mayer, New Holstein, Fred (Roxie) Mayer, Sheboygan, sons-in-law; Don Dhein & Joe Schmidt, her grandchildren; Jeff Turba, Jerry Turba, Jim Turba (Abbey), Joel (Kendra) Turba, Danielle Mescuici, Chris (Lorena) Buzaitis, Jeff (Jessica) Buzaitis, Christine (Greg) Thomas, Mayme (James) Verburg, Aaron Lund, Gregory Mayer, David Mayer, Jennifer (Chad) Velier, Bruce (Debbie) Dhein, Scott Dhein, Jolene Schroeder, Jamie Clark, her great grandchildren; Heather, Ryan, William, Ellie, Anahi, Isabella, Valentina, Ashley, Alyssa, Emily, Sierra, Reily, Gage, Eli, Erin, Evan, Connor, Sydney Aadyn, Tyson and Tristan, her great great grandchildren; Payton and Maddie. Cecelia is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Lois Dhein, Betty Schmidt, sons-in-law; Charlie Schroeder, Jim Buzaitis, grandson; John Turba Jr., along with numerous brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

According to Cecelia’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for this summer and will be announced at a later date. Burial will follow in St. Wendel Cemetery, Cleveland.
