Frank Wagner Is Celebrant Of 89th Event
Frank Wagner, a former Cleveland resident, who lives with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wagner, 1627 N. 38th St., was honored over the weekend, when his 89th birthday was observed. The date was Feb. 27th.
Following the death of Mrs. Wagner in September, 1955, he sold their home in Cleveland and has been residing with his immediate family. He still enjoys good health. TV shows are his pastime and he also enjoys playing sheepshead.
Many cards and gifts were sent to him.

Four sons and six daughters comprise his family, which is comprised of Dr. Matt Wagner, Chicago; Dr. Paul Wagner, Racine; Alex and Herbert Wagner, Sheboygan; Mrs. Elizabeth Payleitner, Milwaukee; Mrs. William (Martha) Brunmeier, School Hill; Mrs. Fred (Ceil) Mayer, Cleveland; Mrs. Ledwina Seipel, Osman; Mrs. Armella Mayer, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Mrs. Henry (Irene) Herr, Fond du Lac, 42 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wagner to Observe Anniversary
Frank Wagner, a former resident of Cleveland, who resides with his son, Alex, at Sheboygan, will observe his 91st birthday anniversary Saturday. He will celebrate at an open house in his honor from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brunmeier Hall, School Hill.

Hosts at the event will be a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Brunmeier. Other children include five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Payleitner, Milwaukee, Mrs. Lidvina Seipel, Osman, Mrs. Amelia Mayer, Sheboygan, Mrs. Fred Mayer, Cleveland and Mrs. Henry Herr, Fond du Lac, and three sons, Dr. Matt Wagner, Chicago, Dr. Paul Wagner of Racine and Herbert of Plymouth. Mr. Wagner also has 43 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Mr. Wagner has received three presidential congratulatory messages. Last year he received one from President Johnson and previously received two from President Kennedy.

Obituary
Frank Wagner, 94, of 806 St. Clair Ave., a retired Cleveland area farmer died at St. Nicholas Hospital Wednesday afternoon 12 Jan 1966 in Cleveland, Manitowoc, WI. He suffered a broken hip in a fall last June.

Born Feb. 27, 1894, in the Town of Mosel, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Wagner. On Oct. 24, 1899, he married Miss Barbara Wolf at St. Wendel's Catholic Church at Cleveland. She died Sept. 24, 1955.

Mr. Wagner was a member of St. Wendel's Church and its Holy Name Society.

Survivors are four sons, Dr. Matt Wagner of Chicago, Dr. Paul Wagner of Racine, Alex of Sheboygan, Herbert of rural Plymouth; six daughters, Mrs. Louis (Elizabeth) Payleitner of Sheboygan, Mrs. Roman(Lidwina) Seipel of Osman,
Mrs. Fred (Ceil) Mayer of Cleveland, Mrs. Henry (Irene) Herr of Fond du Lac, Mrs. William (Martha) Brunmeier of School Hill, Mrs. Armella Meyer of Sheboygan; 43 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

One infant daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendel's Church at Cleveland. The Rev. Jerome Watry, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem high Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery on 15 Jan 1966. Friends may call at Gerend's Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Friday. The parish vigil will be held there at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
