Thomas J. Mayer, age 67, a resident of New Holstein, died Saturday evening, January 27, 2018 at his home. Tom was born to the late Fred and Cecelia (Wagner) Mayer on May 31, 1950, in the village of Cleveland. He attended Sheboygan North High School, graduating with the class of 1968. Tom worked at Kohler Company and was a field tester Tecumseh Products for many years. Photography was a passion for him, he owned and operated Mayer Photography. Tom is survived by his daughter: Mayme (Michael) Becker, Wyoming, MI; a grandson & granddaughter: Eli and Erin Verburg; two step-granddaughters: Carrie and Eva Becker. He is further survived by his brother and sisters: Joan (John) Turba, Mary (Dick) Vande Hei, and Fred (Roxie) Mayer, two brothers-in-law: Don Dhein and Joe Schmidt, nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters: Lois Dhein and Betty Schmidt, brothers-in-law: Charlie Schroeder and Jim Buzaitis and nephew: John Turba Jr. According to Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place.
