Born Nov. 13, 1906, at St. Wendel (Cleveland), a son of the late Frank and Barbara Wolf Wagner, he attended school there.
On June 30, 1934, be married Petronella Renzelmann at St. Peter Claver Church. The couple farmed in the Town of Mosel for more than 40 years.
Mr. Wagner was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and a charter member of the Apostolate of Suffering.
Survivors are his widow; two sons, Gary of Barberton, Ohio, and Jerome of West Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Barbara) Dassow, Manitowoc, Mrs. Roger (Donna) Anhalt and Mrs. Gary (Karen) Spettel, both of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Dr. Matt Wagner of Pampano Beach, Fla., Dr. Paul of Racine and Herbert of Plymouth, six sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Payleitner, Mrs. Lidwina Seipel and Mrs. William Brunmeier, all of Sheboygan, Mrs. Fred Mayer of Cleveland, Mrs. Henry Herr of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Armella Mayer of Sacremento, Calif.
An infant sister preceded him in death.
A concelebrated funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Church, with the Rev. Melvjn Macoskie, pastor, principal celebrant. Mass will be preceded by family rites at the Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery on 20 Sep 1974.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. A parish vigil will be held there at 8 p.m.
St. Luke the Evangelist unit of the Good Samaritan Guild will attend the vigil. A memorial fund is being established in Mr. Wagner's name.
