Mr George W. McDaniel, 71, of route 1, Wetmore, died at his home in the Granada community Sunday, December 26, 1976 of an apparent heart attack. He had been a hospital patient earlier.
He was born July 28, 1905 at Wetmore, spent his entire life in that community. He was married to Mildred Ellen Jones on Feb. 25, 1928. He was a farmer and stockman.
He is survived by his wife the three daughters, Mrs Mary Lou Keffer, Topeka, Shirley Whltebread, Boulder City, and Mrs Beckie Kern, Tulsa, two sons, George F. McDaniel, Winchester, and Robert L. Wetmore; 15 grandchildren and a great grandson; a sister, Mrs Ruby McConnell, Horton, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 29, 1976 at the Mercer Funeral Home at Holton and burial was In the Wetmore cemetery.
