Mrs. Rubie B. McConnell
Horton-Mrs. Rubie B. McConnell, 87, Horton, died Monday, March 4, at a Horton hospital.
Mrs. McConnell was a practical nurse.
She was born April 10, 1897, in the Granada community north of Wetmore, the daughter of John L. and Millie B. Hart McDaniel.
She was a member of First United Methodist church, the auxiliary to Noel Brun Post No. 3021 of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Royal Neighbors, all at Horton.
She was married to Frederick McConnell June 30, 1914, at Wetmore. He died March 25, 1973.
Survivors include a son, Billie McConnell, Horton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist church in Horton. Burial will be in Wetmore Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Maple-Chaney Mortuary, Horton. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist church at Horton.
