Mrs. Hertha L. Gumm, 78, a resident of Meadow View Manor Nursing Home, died Thursday at St. Nicholas Hospital.
She was born in the Town of Mosel Sept. 6, 1904, a daughter of Oscar and Frieda Bull Wilke. She attended Centerville schools.
On May 24, 1924, she married Herman Gumm at St. Mark parsonage in the Town of Mosel. Mr. Gumm died Sept. 26, 1968.
Mrs. Gumm was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and its ladies guild.
Survivors are one son, Ronald E. of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Gerry) Froh and Mrs. Roger (Beatrice) Schlafke, both of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ted Wilke of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Zill of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kroos-Mason Funeral Home. The Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Johannes Cemetery, Cleveland.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday. A memorial service will be held there at 7 p.m. Sunday by the Ladies Guild of St. John United Church of Christ.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Gumm's name.
