Beatrice attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On May 26, 1951 she was united in marriage to Roger Schlafke in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was employed at Wells Fargo Bank and Citizens/First Interstate Bank. Beatrice enjoyed traveling and camping. She was also a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Sheboygan. She was a kind and loving mother; her children meant everything to her and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, Geraldine Froh; her brother, Ronald Gumm and her sister-in-law, Betty Schlafke, all of Sheboygan. She is further survived by many other relatives. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-granddaughter, Anika Fritsch, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Froh and a sister-in-law, Ann Gumm.
A funeral service for Beatrice will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethany Reformed Church, Washington Ave., Sheboygan with Rev. Philip Rose officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name and may be directed to the building fund at Bethany Reformed Church.
