Mrs. Benno Versch, 66, of 28 Thayer St., Plymouth, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday at Plymouth Hospital. She had been ailing for several months.
A native of the Town of Mosel, she was born Feb. 28, 1896, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilke. She was educated in district school there.
Her marriage to Mr. Versch took place March 12, 1918.
Since marriage the couple had continued to live in the Plymouth area. Her husband died the past Aug. 8.
Mrs. Versch was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the auxiliary to Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Adeline Wentworth, Plymouth; two sons, Elmer, Plymouth, and Wollard, Antigo; four grandchildren; two brothers, George and Julius Wilke, Sheboygan, and a sister, Mrs. Herbert Hinz, Sheboygan.
Three brothers preceded her in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Salem Church in Plymouth, with the Rev. Lowell Ferguson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery there.
Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and from noon at the church.
Members of the Ladies Aid are to meet at the church at 2:45 p.m. Monday to attend the last rites.
