Carl P. Kissinger, 88, of R. 1, Elkhart Lake, died Thursday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient one day. He was born Oct. 7, 1886, in the town of Rhine, a son of the late Jacob and Katherine Feldmann Kissinger. He attended district school and Plymouth High School. On June 11, 1910, he married Laura Diels at St. Peter United Church of Christ in the Town of Rhine. The couple resided on the Kissinger home farm in Rhine. In 1954 they moved to Ada. He was a member of St. Peter UCC, Town of Rhine.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Ruby) Rabe of Kiel and Mrs. Harold (Arlyle) Arnhoelter of R. 1, Elkhart Lake; a son, Elmer, Kiel; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anna Sinner of R. 2, Elkhart Lake. He was preceded in death by a grandson and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at St. Peter UCC, Rhine, the Rev. John Seidler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
