Gustav was the adopted son of Frank and Ida Nickisch.

Arthur Nikisch Summoned Today At Home Here
Arthur A. Nikisch, aged 57, passed away suddenly early this morning at his home, 1416 Superior avenue. Although he had been in poor health the past few weeks his death came very unexpectedly.
The deceased was born in Centerville on March 24, 1890, and made his home here the greater part of his life. He had been an employee of the Kingsbury Brewery for a great many years. Mr. Nikisch was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors are his sister, Mrs. Loretta Koepke, and three nieces and one nephew, all of this city. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Nickel's Funeral home from 7 o'clock on Thursday evening until the time of services which have tentatively been set for Saturday afternoon. The exact time of services will appear in tomorrow night's paper.

Rites Will Be Held Saturday
Funeral services for Gustave Nikisch, who died at his home, 1416 Superior avenue, on Tuesday morning, will be held at 2 p. m. on Saturday at the Nickel Funeral home with the Rev. Victor Mennicke of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church officiating.
Burial will be made in the Wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p. m. on Thursday to the time of services.

Funeral services for Gustave Nikisch, who passed away at his home, 1416 Superior avenue, on Tuesday, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Nickel's Funeral home, with the Rev. Victor Mennicke of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church officiating. Interment took place in the Wildwood cemetery.
At the services, Mona Fay Puls and Fay Jane Puls sang the following selections: "Jerusalem Thou City Fair and High", and " For Me To Live Is Jesus". Pallbearers were Lester Graef, Theodore Zutz, Alfred Wellhoefer, Buster Braun, Fred Kirkpatrick and Paul Schrameyer.
Members of Brewers and Maltsters Local No. 277 attended in a body on Thursday evening to pay their respects to the deceased. Among the many beautiful tributes were pieces from Kingsbury Breweries Co., Pals of Kingsbury Breweries Co., Sheboygan Mutual Benevolent Assn., and Brewers and Maltsters No. 277.
Relatives and friends from away to attend the services were from Kiel, Centerville , and Cleveland.
