Margaret (Sally) A. Weekes, age 85, of 1605 George Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, August 11, 2011 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on July 24, 1926 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Leo A. and Margaret (Kuene) Singer. On November 15, 1947 she married Glen W. Weekes at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband: Glen W. Weekes, Manitowoc; four sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory & Sue Weekes, Cary, North Carolina, Gary & Jane Weekes, Green Bay, Dr. Richard & Kimberly Weekes, Milwaukee, Robert & Sue Weekes, Green Bay; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Mary & John Platner, St. Germain; and a brother and sister-in-law: Robert & Jan Singer, Manitowoc. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Kathleen Marie Check and a great-granddaughter: Hailey Faye McCrow.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m Wednesday, August 17, 2011 until 10:45 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
