Cleveland – John Buchberger, 67, died at 8 p.m., Monday evening at his farm home near here following a heart attack. He had been in the barn watching the evening chores being done and was stricken soon after he returned to the house.
Mr. Buchberger was born in the town of Wilson May 12, 1871, and was married to Anna Hauser in 1896. The couple lived on a farm there and later operated a tavern at Six Corners for five years. In 1906 the couple came to Cleveland and located on the present farm home.
Besides his widow, Mr. Buchberger is survived by a son, Joseph, at home; three daughters, Julia, Mrs. Joseph Kress of Centerville; Ella, Mrs. Theodore Kress and Gertrude, Mrs. Henry Matthias, Cleveland; a step-sister, Mrs. Joseph Hartmanstorter, Rib Lake, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
For many years, Mr. Buchberger was a trustee of St. George's church, Centerville.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. George's church, Centerville. The Rev. Theodore Kersten will officiate and burial will be made in St. George's cemetery at Centerville. The body will be in state at the Buchberger home from 5 p.m., today until the time of services.
