Mrs. Anna Buchberger, 91, Cleveland, died Thursday night at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kress, following a long illness.
Born in December, 1871, in Outagamie County, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hauser. After her marriage to John Buchberger, she lived in Town Wilson, moving later to Town Centerville, where her husband operated a farm. She has lived at the home of her daughter and son-in-law since 1941.
Mrs. Buchberger was a member of St. Wendel's Catholic Church, Cleveland, and the St. Ann Christian Mother's Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Julia) Kress, Mrs. Walter (Ella) Thieleke, and Mrs. Henry (Gertrude) Matthias, all of Cleveland; a son, Joseph of Cleveland and 14 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a sister and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Stoltenburg Funeral Chapels in Cleveland, and at 10 a.m. at St. Wendel's Church, the Rev. Leo Ott officiating. Burial will be made in St. George Cemetery in Cleveland. Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 3 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by the St. Ann Christian Mother's Society and at 8 p.m. by members of the parish.
