Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Gumm, 92, a lifelong resident of the Town of Mosel, who died Wednesday at Rocky Knoll Hospital following a brief illness, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Mosel.
The Rev. Merlin Huebschmann, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Nov. 25, 1873, in the Town of Mosel, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Conrad. The former Minnie Conrad, she married Peter Gumm Nov. 6, 1892. He died in 1943.
The couple made their home on the homestead farm in the Town of Mosel.
She was a lifelong member of the St. Mark's Church of Christ and a chapter member of the Ladies Aid Society.
For the past six years she made her home at the Sunny Ridge Nursing Home but for the last three weeks was a resident of the Rocky Knoll Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Herman Gumm, of Sheboygan; two daughter, Mrs. Ella Schwartz of Milwaukee, and Mrs. William (Lillian) Byrd of Beatrice, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Illig of Sheboygan. One son, Edgar, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 4 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday, and at the church from noon Saturday until the hour of service.
