HENRY A. KOCH (d. 1971)

Henry A. Koch, 76, of 2217 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc, died Thursday
morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Allen Jirikovec, a nephew,
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion
Drews-Bresser Post No. 88.
Mr. Koch was born Dec. 4, 1894, at Marshfield, Wis., son of the late
Henry A. Sr. and Mary Bock Koch. He married Margaret O’Leary in July
of 1919 at Manitowoc. He started his employment with the Manitowoc
Fire Department in 1924 and retired as captain in 1947. He was then
employed at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry until 1958. His wife preceded
him in death Jan. 5, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, Derwood of Rantoul, Ill., and Tech. Sgt.
John E. of Charleston U.S. Air Force Base, Charleston, S.C.; two
daughters, Mrs. Donald (Rosemary) Schneider of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Harold (Helen) Holschuh of Green Bay; two brothers, William of
Kaukauna and John of Kankakee, Ill.; 20 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. A son Harold preceded him in death in January of 1964,
also two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
4 p.m. Friday where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
