JOHN F. BUSSE

John F. Busse, 85, of 1205A Manila St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N.W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Busse was born Sept. 13, 1881 in the Town of Eaton. He married Minnie Nagle in 1908 in the Town of Liberty, and the couple farmed in the Town of Eaton until 1919. He worked at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., and was a member of the Carpenters Local. His wife died in 1925.

Survivors include a son, Ervin, of Manitowoc: a daughter, Mrs. Henry Gerte of Rt. 3; Manitowoc; a brother, August of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Annie Holdorf, of Manitowoc, six grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Ninth Street entrance, Manitowoc, until 11 am Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until time of service.
