Nell E. Bergner, of 1308 S. 22nd St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Park Lawn Home,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Leschke-Bergner Funeral Home and
at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Allan Jirikovec
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bergner was born in Maple Grove, daughter of the late Daniel and Bridgitt
Mullins O'Leary. She was a graduate of Reedsville High School and Manitowoc
County Normal School. She taught in Manitowoc County for eight years. She was
later employed at Gimbel's Store, Milwaukee, for 25 years. She was a member of
Manitowoc Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 659 and Gimbel's American Legion
Auxiliary 442.
Survivors include a son, Eldred A. (Sheriff) Bergner, of Manitowoc and a brother,
John O'Leary, of Maple Grove. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 o'clock this Monday afternoon where
a vigil service will be at 7 o'clock by Rev. Cyril VanHeeswyk.
