Leo Sohn, 79, died Thursday evening at his farm home R. 1, Newton following a lingering illness. Born Feb. 2, 1877 in the town of Centerville, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Sohn. He married Emma Bebermeier Oct. 31, 1903 and settled on the farm the family now occupies near Centerville. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953. Mr. Sohn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan.
Survivors are his wife, a son, Alfred, R. 1, Newton, a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Hemb, five grandchildren and a brother, all of R. 1, Newton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, the Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Saxon Cemetery.
