Ann E. Dortman, age 93, of Sheboygan, died Tuesday morning, March 6, 2012 at Pine Haven Christian Home.

Ann was born March 1, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to Andrew and Anna (Weinberger) Kramer. Her family moved to a farm in Newton, Wisconsin where she attended Newton Elementary Schools.

On April 13, 1940, Ann and Gerald Dortman were united in marriage in Newton, Wisconsin. Gerald preceded her in death on August 14, 1998.

For many years, Ann was employed as a sales clerk at Evans Variety Store in Sheboygan.

She was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan.

Ann was an avid gardener with a wonderful green thumb. She was a great homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and helping Gerald with his woodworking projects. She especially loved spending time with her daughter and son-in-law, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Julie Teumer of Sheboygan Falls; two grandchildren, Debbie (Vince) Lubrano of Villa Hills, Kentucky and Steve (Tammy) Teumer of Sheboygan Falls; four great-grandchildren, Chris, Kevin, Joel Lubrano and Trevor Teumer; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Doug Teumer; five brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
