Mrs. Hulda J. Hintz, 86, of Rt. 1, Newton, died Thursday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. The Rev. Chester Ploeger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hintz, nee Hulda Dehne, was born Mary 14, 1887, at Centerville, daughter of the late Henry and Louise Zurheide Dehne. She was married to August F. Hintz Oct. 4, 1908, at St. Johns Reformed Church, Centerville. She farmed with her husband until 1941, when they made their home with a daughter, Mrs. Louise Schmitz, on Rt. 1, Newton. Her husband preceded her in death July 27, 1948.
She was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Louise) Schmitz, of Rt. 1, Newton, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Two sons, a grandson, six brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 9 o'clock this Friday evening and from 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of service.
