Hospital in Sheboygan after an illness of eight years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John and St.
Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland with Rev. Eldon M. Bode officiating.
He was born Aug. 25, 1890, in the Town of Centerville, the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. George Sixel. On January 26, 1918, he married the former
Louise Jaehnig and they moved to Marathon County where he was engaged in
cheese making for 35 years.
In 1950 the couple returned to Cleveland. Mr. Sixel was a former member of
the Wisconsin Cheesmakers Assn., and the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Stuhr of Mishicot
and Mrs. William Loos of Oshkosh; three brothers, August of Sheboygan and
Otto and William of Hika; a sister, Mrs. Albert Scheffler of Hika and three
grandchildren.
Mr. Sixel was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel in Cleveland after Monday
noon until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be moved to the church to lie
in state until the time of service.
