Otto L. Sixel, 81, of Cleveland, died early today at Sheboygan Memorial
Hospital.
Mr. Sixel, a retired Town of Centerville (Manitowoc County) farmer, had
been ailing since Christmas.
Born Aug. 4, 1880, he was a son of the late George and Anna Wunsch Sixel.
He married Lydia Mueller, Feb. 18, 1909, following which the couple farmed
in Centerville until retiring in 1949 and moving to the village of
Cleveland.
Mr. Sixel was a director and treasurer of the Meeme Mutual Fire Insurance
Co. for 25 years, served on town and school boards in Centerville and was
an elder of Ss. John and Peter Lutheran Chuch, Cleveland.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lester and George of Erdman, and Melvin,
at home; two grandchildren; and a brother, August, of Sheboygan.
A son, six brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ss. John and Peter Lutheran
Church with the Rev. Gerhardt Cares, pastor, officiating. Burial will be
in St. John's Cemetery, Centerville.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, from 3 p.m.
Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and after noon at the church.
