William C. Huhn

William C. Huhn, 89, a Town of Centerville farmer, died Monday afternoon at his home following a lingering illness.

Born Jan. 24, 1874 in the Town of Centerville, he was the son of the late Herman and Paulina (Paul) Huhn. On Dec. 27, 1903 he married Miss Minna Fenn.

The couple resided on the family homestead where he they engaged in farming.

Mr. Huhn was a member of St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland, where he had served as a trustee and also a Sunday School teacher for 17 years. He had been secretary treasurer of the Aid Association for Lutherans Branch No. 58 for 46 years.

Survivors are his wife; a son,, Arno on the homestead farm; seven daughters, Mrs. Roland (Verina) Roehl of Sheboygan, Mrs. Fred (Stella) Rust of Newton, Mrs. Norbert (Roma) Hopf of Howards Grove, Mrs. George (Gladys) Wilke of Sheboygan, Mrs. Harvey (Irene) Leonard of Kiel, Mrs. Armond (Lucille) Klemme, of Plymouth and Mrs. Arno (Corrine) Boll of Sheboygan, 26 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John and St. Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland. The Rev. Gerhardt Cares will officiate and burial will be in Saxon Cemetery in the Town of Centerville.

Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel in Cleveland from 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday, and at the church from noon Thursday until the hour of services.
