The former Ida Roehl, she was born April 30, 1878 in the Town of Mosel, a daughter of the late Frederick and Julia Wunsch Roehl. She was married Dec. 3, 1899 to August Fischer. The couple resided in the Town of Centerville, where they were engaged in farming. Her husband died Dec. 9, 1952. Mrs. Fischer was a member of St. John, St. Peter Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are a son, Alfred on the home farm; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Esther) O'Neil, Town of Liberty, four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gutenberger, R. 1, Sheboygan, Mrs. Ed Gutknecht, DePere, Mrs. Elva Erbstoeszer, Cleveland, and Mrs. Helen Jaehnig, Cleveland; and a brother, Ed Roehl, Sheboygan Falls. Two grandchildren also preceded her in death.
