Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Pfeffer funeral home, and at two o'clock from the First German Evangelical Lutheran church,the Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Born, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Born, was born in Newton in 1864 and in 1896 married Miss Minnie Reinhardt. They located on a farm in Newton until 1917, when they retired from farming and moved into Manitowoc. For a number of years Mr. Born was employed in the Wernecke and Schmitz hardware store.
Survivors are the widow; two foster daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lutze and Mrs. Edwin Schnell of Liberty; and a brother, August, of Collins.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home Saturday, after 7 p.m. The casket will not be opened in church.
