Wealtha was the daughter of William Taylor, born in NC and died in Georgia in 1812, and Mary Billingsley. William served as a private, 1777-78, in the 10th North Carolina regiment under Co. Abraham Shepard. Weltha Taylor married Noah B. Cole on January 27, 1819 in Sparta, Conecah County, Alabama. They had nine children: Lucinda A., Almira C., Mary Ann, Jahaza Jane, Palestine Lavonia, Minerva Missouri, Calista, Amazon Arkansas and Ransom Taylor.

Only Jahaza Jane Cole who married William Todd has not been located at the present time. She died in 1899 likely in Midway, Bullock County, Alabama as the last evidence of her was a letter written from there in 1890.
