John Hannum Douglass, age 88 years, died
Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Storm in Altoona of diseases incident to his advanced
age. The deceased was born in Carroll
township, this county, and owned a large farm. In 1842 he married Miss Margaret
Ivory who died twenty two years ago. Besides the daughter with whom he had made
his home for about fifteen years, he was the father of Silas M. Douglass of St. Augustine, Cambria
county. The remains were taken to the home of his son where services were held
this morning. Services will also be held
in the Catholic church at St. Augustine.
