Walter Semph, 90, of 717 Madison Avenue, Howards Grove, died Sunday, March 20, 1994 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, where he had been a resident since last fall.
He was born February 9, 1904 In the Town of Schleswia, Manitowoc County, Wis., a son of the late Henry and Ida Schmidt Semph. He attended local schools. On April 2, 1927, Erna Henning and Walter Semph were united in marriage at the parsonage of Trinity Lutheran Church of Howards Grove.
He was employed by the Vollrath Company for many years, retiring In 1966. Walter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Howards Grove.
Funeral services for Walter Semph will be held Tuesday, March 22 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Zimmer Funeral Chapel of Howards Grove, where friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of services. The Rev. Darrel Bergelin will officiate.
Interment will be In Trinity Cemetery.
Survivors of Walter Semph include his wife; one son, Henry (Grace) Semph, Howards Grove; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Walter Semph.
