Mr. Pierce died Monday en route to Winnsboro Sanitarium after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethelle Buchan Pierce of Crowville; 10 daughters, Misses Julia and Barbara Pierce, and Mrs. Joy Pekar, all of Houston, Tex.; Misses Shirley Ann and Pauline Pierce of Shreveport; Mrs. Martha Stevens, Mrs. Betty Peters, and Misses Ruby Jean, Patsy Faye and Evelyn Pierce, all of Crowville; one son, Jerry C. Pierce of Crowville; two brothers, J. T. and V. W. Pierce of Crowville; one sister, Mrs. Marie Stringer of Jonesboro; and ten grandchildren.
