MARY LUECKER

Mrs. Peter Luecker died at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton last Friday. Following a successful operation great hopes of her recovery were entertained, but a sudden attack of pneumonia in her weakened condition, proved fatal. Profound sorrow and sympathy for the bereaved husband and children is felt in our entire community. The lots of so loyal a wife, and kind and affectionate mother is but one consolation-the knowledge that she is at rest and that she died at peace with her Maker, being a devout woman and a faithful member of the Evangelical Friedens congregation.
Decedent, whose maiden name was Mary Utke, was born at Milwaukee and at her death had attained the age of 51 years 6 months. In 1887 she was married at Wrightstown to the husband that now survives her. Two children have blessed the union, a daughter, Miss Elsie at home and a son, Elmer who is a student at Lawrence College, Appleton, preparing for the profession of law. She is also survived by two brothers, Gust Utke of Arizona and Henry Utke of Wrightstown, also two sisters. Her aged mother, Mrs. H. Utke is also still living.
