Ms. Ella I. Born, age 92, a Shady Lane Nursing Care Center resident, died
Tuesday morning, June 24, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 1997, at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born February 28, 1905, in Collins, Wis., daughter of the late August
and Minnie Saches Born. Ella resided in Collins until 1973 when she moved to
Manitowoc. She had been employed at Collins State Bank from 1923-1953 and was a
partner at the August Born Hardware Store from 1953-1969. She was a member of
the Senior Citizens of Manitowoc and the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Collins.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law; three nieces; one nephew; one
grand-niece, and four grand-nephews; other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ruben; and two sisters, Eva and Hilda.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Thursday evening until
the time of service at 6 p.m.
