Carl Jerome Hintz, 15-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Hintz of Cleveland, died Sunday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
The youth had a heart defect for which he was being treated since last spring. He was brought to the hospital Sunday noon after an attack at home.
Carl, a freshman at Urban Junior High here, had attended classes last Friday.
Born in Manitowoc, June 27, 1948, he received his elementary education at Red Arrow School in Cleveland. He was a member of Ss. John and Peter Lutheran Church there.
Surviving, in addition to his father and mother (the former) Emma Schmidt), are three brothers, Pvt. Eugene, stationed with the U.S. Army in Fishbach, Germany, Harold at home, and Airman Second Class Kenneth E. stationed at Plattsburgh, N.Y.; two sisters, Carol (his twin) and Linda, both at home.
The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. August F. Hintz Schmidt, Cleveland, and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Hulda Hintz, Newton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Ss. John and Peter Church, Cleveland, with the Rev. Gerhard Cares, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Cleveland.
Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapels, in Cleveland from 3 p.m. Wednesday until11 a.m. Thursday and from noon at the church.
