Eugene R. Hintz, 73, of Chilton, went to his Heavenly Home on December 26, 2015 after a short illness.
He was born on March 11, 1942, son of the late Ruben & Emma (Schmidt) Hintz.Eugene attended grade school in Hike and was a 1961 graduate of Sheboygan South High School.He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.On April 19, 1969 he married Corrine Illig at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners.Eugene was employed at Kohler Co. for 39 years retiring in 2004 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel.Eugene enjoyed his three daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His passion was his vegetable garden and canning pickles. He also liked tinkering in the garage and was a huge Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Corrine, three daughters; Lisa and her sons, Adam & James, Paula, Mona & her children; Anthony, Dwayne Jr., Gina Ann, Crystal and Megan.
He is further survived by great grandchildren, Zayla and Zayden, two brothers, Harold and Kenneth (Judy), two sisters, Carol (David) Wood, Linda (Vernon) Brendel, step-granddaughter, Airrell Grissett and her children, Keshawn, Nataja and Zaria, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben & Emma, father-in-law & mother-in-law, August and Elsa Illig, one brother Carl, four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery with full military rites.
