Rudolph H. Hinz

Rudolph H. Hinz, 69, a life-long resident of Manitowoc County, died at his home in Centerville Saturday afternoon following an illness of several months.

He was born Nov. 15, 1878, in the town of Meeme, the son of Gottfried and Louisa Hinz, and received his elementary education at Centerville after his family moved there in 1880. Later he attended business college at Stoughton, Wis.

On Nov. 18, 1900, Mr. Hinz was married to Bertha Witte. Although a barber and watch repairman by trade, he served as clerk of School District No. 5, a member of the Manitowoc County board of education, and special mail messenger between the Cleveland and Hika post office.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Florence) Kolb and Mrs. Alex (Dahlia) Burkart, Sheboygan; two sons, Edwin and Raymond, both of Centerville, and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stoltenberg Funeral chapel at Cleveland with the Rev. E. R. Krueger, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, Sheboygan, officiating. Burial will be made in St. John's cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Stoltenberg chapel from 7 o'clock this evening until the time of the services.
