Adrian T. Zill, 69, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996 at Sunny Ridge Health Care Center, where he was residing since July 1994.
He was born March 8, 1927 in the Town of Centerville, Manitowoc County, Wis., a son of the late Hilbert and Ella Wilke Zill. Adrian attended the LaFollette school and was a 1946 graduate of Kiel High School. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the 793 field battalion.
Joyce Bender and Adrian Zill were united in marriage on Dec. 20, 1952 at the parsonage of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. He was employed with the Kohler Company until his retirement in 1973. Adrian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Howards Grove, the Howards Grove V.F.W. Post 9124, Kohler Quarter Century Club, and a former member of the Howards Grove Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Jack (Mary Ellen Gherardi) Zill, Coppell, Texas; one daughter, Sarah (Dr. John Shanklin, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Arial and Carmen Reed, Alice, Claire and Laura Shanklin, two brothers Edward (Mary Jane) Zill, Cleveland and Richard (Marilyn) Zill, Town of Centerville; one sister, La Verne (Lawrence) Scharenbroch, rural Cleveland. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Zill Reed.
A funeral service will be held for Adrian Zill Saturday, Aug. 3, 1996 at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Howards Grove. The Rev. Bryan Ostadil interim pastor, will officiate. Entombment will be at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Sheboygan. Friends may call at the Church, on Saturday, from 12 noon until time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Adrian T. Zill.
